Transistor is out now on PC and PlayStation 4. The icing on the cake is being able to play it on my Vita via remote play. ![]() Not being able to get into Bastion should absolutely not prevent you from being able to get into Transistor. Gameplay wise theyre very different and I love both games for different reasons. Also with 30 trophies for the PlayStation 4 version there are more reasons to keep playing. Honestly, Bastion and Transistor are nothing alike save for having the same solid team working on it. Transistor ties the light to the sword's flashing (narrator's) voice and it feels like the controller itself is speaking. Transistor seamlessly integrates thoughtful strategic planning into a fast-paced action experience, melding responsive gameplay and rich atmospheric. Hades is the best game they made, but the soundtrack sounds too clean sometimes and is a bit more generic than it needs (in terms of Darren Korb. Bastion is my least favourite game and soundtrack. Pyre once again showcases the award-winning talents of the team that created Bastion and Transistor. While the game offers the same features and is priced identically on both ($19.99) I still prefer playing on the PlayStation 4 by a long way. That only leaves the choice of whether to play this on the PC or PlayStation 4. Also with 30 trophies for the PlayStation 4 version there are more reasons. Combine this with the different game modes and likely desire you will have to replay the game with all the skills and levels unlocked and Transistor looks like excellent value.
